• Model Town resident injured in car crash A CAR driver sustained injuries after his vehicle hit a school building near T-Crossing at Cavalry Ground on Monday morning. Security guard of the school, Allah Bux, informed the police that a car (LG-680) collided with the gate of the school at around 2am on Monday. The driver sustained injuries while the front of the car was totally damaged. The car also damaged the school wall, a water cooler and main gate. The victim was shifted to a local hospital where his condition was stated to be critical. Police registered a case No 308/09 against the owner of the car, Salahuddin, son of Munawwar Ahmad Jutt, a resident of 86-G, Model Town. Investigation officer of the case, ASI Zafar Iqbal, told this correspondent that both the parties had signed a reconciliation deal after the accused party compensated the loss. However, he said that he would present the case before ASP Dr Shahzad.
